Desert is an Israeli power metal band, formed in 2002. They released a demo in 2005 called The Way to Honor, followed by an EP in 2006 called Prophecy of the Madman. In 2011 they released their full length debut, Star of Delusive Hopes, which featured a guest appearance from Sabaton vocalist Joakim Brodén on the song "Lament for Soldier's Glory (Order 227)". Desert plays a unique brand of power metal fused with elements of symphonic and gothic metal, which they describe as "Dark Epic Metal".
In 2015, the band is releasing their second album, Never Regret, which features a guest appearance from Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear, ex-Gamma Ray).
Their current lineup features: Alexei Raymar (Vocals), Sergei Metalheart (Guitars), Max Shafranski (Guitars), Sergei Dmitrik (Bass), Oleg Aryutkin (Keyboards) and Assaf Markowitz (Drums).
