DESPITE BEHAVIOR was a progressive metal band from Paris, France. Working in the mold of classic instrumental Prog Metal, the band also takes inspiration from what they describe as groovy djentish music, technical riffage and gloomy/dark/disturbing musical textures. Leading man behind the scenes is guitarist Steeves Austin who had, previous to Despite Behavious, been recording multiple albums in his home studio. The band is completed by Bruno Gomez (guitars), Thomas Clairice (bass) and Matthieu Steffan (drums).
The band released one album early 2010 called Aspect Part I - Dementia In Three Acts. The band has now split up, with Steeves Austin moving on to a new project called A-SynC and a progressive death metal band called Beyond The Dust.
