DIMENSION ACT is a Norwegian melodic progressive metal band formed by multi-instrumentalist Marius NILSEN and vocalist Tom Vidar SALANGLI in 2008. Much writing and preparation occurred that year, and in 2009 the band went out in search of a complete lineup. They eventually found drummer Frank Nordeng Roe, bassist Tommy Granli, and temporary keyboardist Kristian Berg.
The band spent the next few years finishing their compositions, rehearsing, and preparing to enter the studio to record their debut album "Manifestation of Progress". The process took a while, and in 2011 they were signed to ProgRock Records who released the band's debut album in March of 2012.
