Disattack was an early incarnation of Carcass, featuring guitarist Bill Steer, drummer Ken Owen, bass player Paul and vocalist Andrew Pek.
This line up released the demo tape "A Bomb Drops" in 1986. Paul and Pek left the band and were replaced by vocalist Sanjiv and bassist Jeff Walker, formerly guitarist and vocalist of the Electro Hippies. At about the same time, Steer joined Napalm Death and recorded the second side of "Scum". Disattack changed it's name to Carcass in 1987.
A bootleg release of Disattack also exists. Called "The Power Of Blood" it claims to feature "Carcass (as Disattack)" but is actually a recording of a Disattack rehearsal from 23 October 1985.
