DIVINE RUINS is a progressive metal band hailing from Texas, USA. The band was formed in 1999 by vocalist Ronnie Stixx and keyboardist Charles Schultz, and shortly after guitarist Drew Creel, bass player Perry Arnn and drummer Mark Reyes completed their line-up.
The band quickly recorded a demo, "Guardian of Time", which received international attention. Their debut album "Sign of the Times" followed in 2001, a release which resulted in a lot of attention from Europe in general and Greece, Spain and Germany in particular.
In 2003 the band eventually folded when vocalist Ronnie Stixx decided to join British power metal outfit SHADOWKEEP, but by 2005 Ronnie was back in the US again, and revived the band.
By 2006 the band consisted of guitarists Shawn Noone and Ian Rendawn, drummer Mike Pittmen and bassist Mike Canales, and with a new line up and musical direction the band started touring as well as writing
