Dreadnox were formed in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1993 and were one of the central bands in the Carioca underground metal scene of the 1990s. Their musical style, which focuses on melody and heaviness, is somewhere in between power metal and traditional heavy metal. They released a demo in 1995 and have released two full-length albums as of 2010.
