Dødning was a sludge metal / stoner metal band from Copehagen in Denmark, formed in 2006.
In 2010 Dødning changed its name to Helhorse.
"Formed in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 2006, Dødning are a sludge metal act, drawing on hardcore, groove metal and southern rock/metal as a source of inspiration. They cite Crowbar, Eyehategod, Raging Speedhorn, and Down as inspiration for their style, but also draw extensively on Nordic hardcore influences. The band released an EP in 2009. In late 2010, the band changed their name to Helhorse, inspired by the Steen Steensen Blicher's poem about the Nordic mythological creature Hælhesten.
They have warmed up for the likes of Exodus, 3 Inches of Blood, Black Label Society, Illdisposed, and Raunchy."
