Edvian is a progressive metal band from Tver, Russia. Formed in 2011, Edvian is the brainchild of two brothers, Andrew and Victor Plitkinyh, both born in 2009 in Tver city (Russia). Deciding on a progressive metal direction and recruiting like-minded musicians, Edvian set off on a path of rehearsals, gigs and line-up changes.
In 2011 the band recorded a 4-track demo and began to work on a full-length album.
In 2012 the recording of the debut album was finished and the band was able to sign a contract for the release of the CD with the Ukrainian label Total Metal Records. The album under the name "2012" was released on December 20th, 2012.
