Egypt is a sludge / stoner metal band from Austin in Texas.
Formed in 1999, Egypt released a CD album, Tome of Disqualification, in 2002. A tape cassette, Grackle Music, for Grackle People, was also released. In 2004, Egypt decided to split up.
In 2010 Egypt reformed and in May 2013 an EP, FreEgypt, was released through their Bandcamp site.
