Coming out of the province of Quebec(Montreal)before the local prog rock scene took hold, Ellison released only one album, thier self-titled debut on the independent label Trans-World who also had The Haunted and Les Sinners in thier stable. Recorded at Studio Six and released in 1971.
Originally known as Jimmy Peace, the band formed in 1967 and eventually band changed it's name to Ellison in 1969 and that time the band consisted of it's two original members, vocalist/guitarist Vincent Marandola, bassist Richard Arcand and drummer Robert Cager and guitarist Christian Tremblay who both joined the band in 1969.
Thier album had a limited release and is very hard to find and expensive though reissued(1995) on CD from Black Rose Records out of Germany who also reissued some other prot-metal/heavy psych gems from Blues Creation, Speed, Glue and Shinki and the Strawberry Path.
