Empürios is a progressive metal band from Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.The band's first release was a self-released demo in 2006 called, "Drowned Earth". Between July 2008 and February 2011, the band recorded their debut full-length. This debut album, Cyclings, included a guest vocal by Andre Matos on one of the tracks and was finally released on CD and digital download in February 2013. In the words of the band, the musical approach is, "Heavy songs, strong melodies, intense instrumentals in progressive roots.".
