Ethereal Shroud was a one man band from the United Kingdom consisting of Joe Hawker. The project plays depressive/atmospheric black metal with elements of funeral doom metal. The debut album They Became the Falling Ash was released in 2015.
In addition to Ethereal Shroud Joe Hawker also operates the doom metal/post rock act Of Solitude and Solemn and the ambient/drone act Aludra.
In late 2021 Ethereal Shroud released its second and final album Trisagion, with Hawker ending the project directly after release.
