EVERWOOD is a melodic progressive metal band from Budapest in Hungary. The band was originally formed in 1997 as NEVERWOOD by Attila Tanczer (keyboards) and Viktor Erdos (bass) from the present line-up.
After the continuos changes, the line-up was stabilized in 2000 when Johnny Debreczi (vocals/guitars), Tamas Rabel (drums) and Ferenc Farkas (guitars) joined. After playing several gigs, Everwood finished their first demo CD, Újjászületés (Immortality) in February of 2001 with three songs. Compared to later recordings, the music on the demo was closer to the hard rock and the structures of the songs simplier. In May of 2001 the band parted ways with Johnny Debreczi and Victor (Erdos) took over on vocals.
In June 2004 Everwood finished their first album, Mind Games. The band went on to release two further albums, The Raven's Nest in 2007 and Without Saving in 2011, releasing a demo inbetween in 2008.
