Exploder is a metalcore / deathcore band from Brisbane in Queensland, formed in 2010.

Hailing from the Gold Coast, Australia Exploder formed in mid of 2010 by good friends and ex bandmates Troy Richards(drums), Carl Garlick(guitar) and Cory Lacey(vocals), soon after to be joined by Mick Hall(bass). The main focus for the direction of the band, musically, was to create something of their own and not to take the easy path of trying to replicate others. A path that frustratingly seems bring local bands a level of success. Although at first this approach it seemed to make it harder for Exploder to fit into any one scene, now they can play with a huge variety of metal, hardcore, punk and rock bands of any flavour.
In April 2010 Exploder began the arduous task of self recording their debut EP. In true DIY style it was recorded on weekends at their rehearsal
