Fester Fanatics were a chaotic crossover thrash band from Sydney, Australia. Formed in 1987, the band was fronted by big, bald vocalist Alfie Fester (real name Aldo), who unsurprisingly looked like Uncle Fester from the Addams Family.
Fester Fanatics were famous for their rough around the edges sound. In an interview with Hot Metal magazine, Fester said "I went to singing lessons once, and this lady made me do some scales and shit, and then said, 'You may as well forget singing'. I told her she was already in a band and she nearly fell off her fucking chair!"
The Fanatics also used to draw an unusual audience. In the same interview, Fester said "We started to get a regular audience of pure morons at the gigs, just weird people! We used to get people in business suits come and watch us; real full-on businessmen. Then we got the total opposite; some
