Fortress is an Australian RAC / white nationalist / Nazi heavy metal band from Melbourne in Victoria, formed in 1992.
Fortress was previously known as Phoenix Rising and was formed by Scott McGuinness, Fortress' founding and constant member.
The band started playing skinhead/RAC Oi! punk and hard rock before switching over to heavy metal on Into Legend. The band split 2007 before regrouping in 2017.
