Geezer Butler Band, or GZR, was a short-lived heavy metal project established by Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath fame in 1984 - the band was split up when Butler joined Ozzy Osbourne's band in 1988. Butler would establish another band in the 1990s, also referred to as GZR (or G//Z/R), but G//Z/R and Geezer Butler Band are typically considered two separate bands.
Geezer Butler Band released two demos before their split-up. The first demo featured Jeff Fenholdt and was more of an AOR affair, while the second one featured early versions of "Computer God" and "Master of Insanity", which would later feature on Black Sabbath's "Dehumanizer" album.
