Semi-legendary west coast acid heavy psychers Goldenrod cranked out a free wheelin', mostly experimental instrumental hard jams with intense, ear shattering guitar pyrotechnics and mystical and spiritual lyrics. Yellow Sunshine influenced, no doubt.
All three members were vibrant on the local L.A. scene in the mid/late '60's and were sought after session musicians and supporting acts on the road with contributing to likes of the sunshine pop band Millennium and The Association, Lee Mallory, Darius, The 5th Dimension, The Doors, The Ventures and even Elvis Presley.
Thier self titled album from 1969 however doesn't contain any sunshine pop what so ever as a it is a contradictory statement of what the band members were used to playing for those who they supported. The synergy synapses into something relatively not heard at that time and a comparison to High Tide and T2 forged in unison.
The 2008 reissue includes all four tracks
