Gunt is a groove metal / death-thrash metal band from Napier in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand.
Formed in 2005, Gunt's debut EP arrived in 2006 under the name, Pop Star Murder Project.
Since forming in 2005 the bands sound has progressed from a quirky/classic metal sound to a more thrash/death metal style incorporating elements of groove and melodic death metal.
