Belgian band GWYLLION was formed in 2003, with an initial line-up consisting of Annelore Vantomme (vocals), Martijn Debonnet (guitars), Joris Debonnet (keyboards, vocals), Thomas Halsberghe (bass) and Wouter Debonnet (drums).
By 2004 this new band felt it was time to record their first material, and entered the studio to create a demo, issued as "Forever Denying the Never" in late spring. Annelore had been forced to leave the band for personal reasons just prior to this, and had been replaced by Valerie Vanhoutte (vocals) at this point.
A period of active gigging followed, and then in 2006 Annelore returned to the band, and alongside her came an additional guitarist in the shape of Steve Deleu. This new line-up hit the studio to record what was to become their debut album "Awakening the Dream", which was self-released in the spring of 2007.
