"Half Past the Revolution formed in 2013 as the lovechild between the creativity of guitarist Michael Hampton and his desire to play in a heavy band that would inspire people as much as his favorite artists inspired him. After writing for a year, HPTR took the stage for the first time and began their career as a theatrical metal band who emphasized their live performance. Shortly after, HPTR picked up vocalist Ryan Alahakoon who introduced an element of horror to the outfit, fronting performances that would leave fans feeling as if they needed an exorcism.
