Hailing from Middletown, Indiana, Headstone consisted of the three Flynn brothers(vocals, bass, guitars, drums) with a fourth member on the Hammond played at local clubs and university campuses and was discovered by the two owners of Starr Records from Columbus, Ohio which signed local artists and brought the band over to record thier only album, Still Looking from 1974 and three singles from 1975.
Powerful and melodic with dual smoking guitar lead and "heavy on the Hammond" thuddage with catchy vocals. Progressive/hard rock/heavy psych with passages of Purple and somewhat blundering comparisons to Bloodrock.
The album had a limited release and is highly sought by collectors and even counterfiets were produced at one time as the album has been sold at around $1000. World In Sound released a CD with thier six singles as bonus tracks in 2009 and also released it on a LP.
