Uwe Heepen was drummer in his own band "Helicon" 'till 1993. While planning their new CD Uwe Heepen became the new band leader. So... the international release of their new CD was successful, especially in Japan. Helicon started the tour "Metal strikes back" with Rage, Gamma Ray and Conception under the management of Noise Records.
After that tour, the band began to record their third album which was never played live, because two of their musicians quit the band. The band became history and everyone did his own thing. Uwe arranged the Helicon Sound Studio which is a private music school. He is teaching Vocals, Drums, Bass, Guitar, Bandcoaching and Songwriting.
Even Uwe Heepen's childhood was dictated by music. Rock and classical in particular have influenced his life up until now and in all of the bands he has been a member of during this, the first phase of a career that
