HIDDEN TIMBRE is a progressive-metal band formed in Gera, Thuringen, Germany, in 2003.
Andreas Kaiser (guitar), Danny Schmidt (drums) und Anja Braeutigam (vocals) formed HIDDEN TIMBRE in 2003. They soon added Clemens Prescher (guitar) and Mirko Schmidt (bass) to the mix, thus completing the band.
2005 saw the release of their first recording, the demo ""Leave", which lead to some concerts both in Germany and Austria.
The good reviews the band received motivated them to start thinking in a bigger project. Winter 2006 was the perfect time for them to finish the recording of their slef-titled first full-length, released in 2007. The album was produced and mastered by Kalle Wallner and Yogi Lang, from the major German prog rock band RPWL.
HIDDEN TIMBRE's music has elements of progrock, artrock and pop blended smoothly in massive metal structures. As their biggest influences, the band lists METALLICA, DREAM THEATER, TOOL, MUSE, DAVE MATTHEWS
