Hongo is a crust punk / atmospheric sludge metal / screamo band from Corunna in Spain, formed in 2000.
"Hongo was born from the ruins of s. XX. and started its musical activity in the 2000. Its members were (and are) involved in a lot of parallel band projects so from the beginning Hongo was not considerate as a new band. In fact, bands like Madame Germen, SL'S3, Nashgul, Ictus and Black Panda were created by its own members before. These bands, with Ekkaia and themselves, are considerate as the authentic reference of the "Spanish crust scene" which have a lot of fans around the world.
Away from this, Hongo has been one of the most active Spanish bands. They have five studio albums; they made six European tours, five Spanish tours, two Portuguese tours and a lot of national and international gigs in festivals of all kinds. They recently participated in
