Hoth is a melodic black metal act from the United States, though they started as a melodic death metal act. Taking their name from the ice planet featured in the film Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, much of their work deals with Star Wars themes while their logo is styled like a Tie Fighter from the franchise. There are two members in the group, Eric Peters and David Dees. It has not been revealed who performs what in the band though.
Their debut album Infinite Darkness, still as a melodic death metal act, was released in 2012.
In 2014 Hoth released Oathbreaker, their second album, now playing a melodic black metal orientated sound.
