Imperial Age is a Russian symphonic metal band, formed in 2012. They play symphonic metal with occasional elements of power metal, and are led by the unique operatic vocals of singer Aor. Their music also features a heavy use of orchestras and choirs. In 2012 they released their debut, titled Turn the Sun Off!, and in 2014 they released an EP titled Warrior Race, which features guest vocals from Rhapsody of Fire singer Fabio Lione.
Shortly after the release of Warrior Race, Aor announced that he was stepping down as lead singer, so he could focus even more on songwriting, while still playing live keyboards and providing backing vocals. He also announced that he had begun writing songs for a second album, titled The Legacy of Atlantis.
