Infectoria is a deathcore / metalcore band from Fajardo in Puerto Rica, formed in 2001.
Infectoria originaly started back in 2000 in Fajardo, Puerto Rico as Equilibrio Mental, with members Jaime Vargas in guitar, Eduardo Montero in vocals, and Mark Procell in drums. They didn't have a steady line-up, bass players came and left, eventually so did drummers. That was until drummer Thrasher joined the band in April, 2001. Thrasher was followed by Héctor Santiago (Alta Crema) who joined as provisional bass player, until Wichi joined the band.
In 2001 they changed the name to Infectoria and Héctor Santiago rejoined the band as guitar player. With a new line-up and new songs they started playing in Puerto Rico's metal scene. Eventually because of their Hardcore influences and breakdowns they started playing in the Hardcore scene in January, 2002.
