Inferi is a black metal project from Laitila, Finland, lead by the artist Fyrdkal.
Originally called Vulture, the project released a split EP in 2002 with Pyromaniac, a similar black metal project from the same town.
Changing the name of the project to Inferi in 2002, Fyrdkal followed a couple of demos with a full-length album, Shores of Sorrow, in 2006 on Northern Heritage Records.
In 2011 Inferi released a compilation of the two demos alongside a third previously unreleased one, on the Last Rites label.
