INQUISITOR was a thrash metal band from the Netherlands. The band was started in December 1992 by three ex-members of the extreme thrash metal band Desultory and a guitarist from a local thrash band. At first the band played under the name of Desiderious but that was only for some weeks. Inquisitor played extreme thrash like Desultory did, but more aggressive, faster, more extreme yet very technical and with many old metal influences. The first line-up of the band was Alex Wesdijk on vocals, Erik Sprooten on guitar, Alex Bakker on bass and Wim van der Valk on drums and backing vocals. This line-up's first release was the "Blasphemous Accusations" (demo #1, '92) a few years later followed up by "Your Pain Will Be Exquisite" (demo #2, ‘94).
