Invent, Animate self-released its debut EP titled Waves on March 13, 2012. After a number of regional tours and online buzz in the online djent community the band was picked up by Tragic Hero Records in February 2014. The band announced itwould release its debut full-length record titled Everchanger on August 26, 2014. The band's latest album Stillworld was released on July 8, 2016,
The band focuses on delivering melodic passages blended with heavy hitting moments that creates a vivid atmosphere and unique blend of metalcore. The guitar work features a lot of slide tapping, dissonance, and technical riffs while the drumming is thunderous yet calm and relaxing at the same time.
