Iris Divine is a progressive alternative metal band from Alexandria in Virginia, formed in 1999.
"Alternative metal guitar riffs, melodic vocals and harmonies, and complex rhythm changes converge onto song structures with hooks and emotional impact, but without meandering solos or pretention. Lyrical themes explore the personal and spiritual, confronting the conflicts and dualities that divide and define us." The three-piece began in 2008 with a different lineup, and has evolved its sound into a voice that approaches both writing and performance with an attention-getting mix of musical precision and raw emotion. Voted onto a 2013 list of the 50 Best Emerging Artists in DC by indie music site The Deli. Fans of metal, alternative, progressive, radio rock and electronic music will all find something to connect with in Iris Divine's upcoming 2014 release.
