In 1994 Wieslaw and Rafal started a band under the name Conqueror which sounded similar to old Bathory, old Celtic Frost, and Possessed. Two years later, near the end of 1996 Conqueror changed the name to Iuvenes and the musical style changed as well. In December 1996 the demo "Sons of Mayhem" was recorded and published officially by Eastclan Records. On "Sons of Mayhem" there was nearly 30 minutes of dark and transcendental keyboard music. One year later the other demo "The Empyrean Call's of Wolves" was published. Four black/thrash compositions could be heard on it as well as a cover version of Bathory's "Raise the Dead". In 1997-2000 Iuvenes started working on their first full length album "Riddle of Steel" published by No Colours records. The music on this CD is a connection of epic anthems with a strong metal sound. It quickly gained acknowledgement in the underground. A
