JACKAL was a Danish heavy/power metal act from Copenhagen who formed in 1987 and disbanded in 1996 after releasing three studio albums. They continued as ENCORE for some years (and released one album under that monicker), but in 2009 they shortly reunited and released their fourth full-length studio album "IV" before disbanding again.
