JEEL are a Danish death metal act formed in 1993 in a suburb to Copenhagen. The name JEEL is an acronym for JegErEnLampe, or Jeg Er En Lampe (translates to "I Am A Lamp"). The band released their debut full-length studio album "Dying Dreams" in 1996 and their second and last full-length studio album "As Morning Turns To Day" in 1999 before splitting up. Some members went on to form INDESPAIR which later on changed name to ECITON.
