JUPITER SOCIETY is a Swedish progressive metal project lead by Carl Westholm (Carptree, Krux). He planned and wrote a science fiction themed concept album, and involved a plethora of musical friends, mostly from the metal environment, to record it.
Fosfor Creation / Progrock Records signed this side project by Westholm, and released the first Jupiter Society album in June 2008. A second album, Terraform was released a year later on the Fosfor Creation label.
After a short hiatus, the project is to release a third album, From Endangered to Extinct, in May 2013. The album is, "an isolated apocalyptic story about the last hours of humanity, more than a sequel to the previous two albums".
