KALKI AVATARA is an experimental folk metal / symphonic black metal side project of Italian musician Paolo Pieri, most famous for his work with Italian industrial black metal band ABORYM. Kalki Avatara has released two EP's on the Shaytan Productions label; 2008's Mantra for the End of Time and 2009's Para Logon.
Kalki Avatara was devised as a means for Paolo to explore thematic material related to the Kali Yuga, the Hindu belief pertaining to the illusion of the physical world, as well as a means to explore new musical territory for himself.
