Kasan is an instrumental atmospheric sludge metal band / post-rock band that also draws on post-metal in its music.
Kasan was formed in Leipzig in Germany in January 2007 by the three friends Marcel Damme (guitar) and Carlo Reuther (drums) from Leipzig and Eldar Fano (guitar) from Haifa, Israel. A little later bass player David Jahr, an old friend from Jena, joined them.
