Killer is a heavy metal band formed in 1980, and released their debut studio album in the same year. After the release, Killer gained fame all over Europe. Their managers and advisers, Alfie Falkenbach, Leo Felsenstein and Stonne Holmgren, would later be the founders of one of the first independent metal labels 'Mausoleum' with Killer's third album 'Shockwaves' being among the first albums to be released on the label. Killer broke up in 1987 and 1991, before reforming in 2002. Their original drummer who played on their debut, 'Fat Leo', died of lung cancer in 2012.

Killer were largely influenced by the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement of the early 80's, with bands like Saxon, Iron Maiden, and Def Leppard as inspiration.
