2001 two young aesthetes named Patrik and Markus from the Gothenburg suburbs smashed their heads together, giving birth to a spontanious thought of starting a band. At this point it was all about cool lyrical phrases that made absolutely no sense, but rhymed nicely with obscure words from the dictionary, coming up with clever band names like 13itter and awesome band logos along with them, obviously the idea and goal was very different back then. Another project was born shortly after this between Patrik and Eemu, who started out playing guitar with competing who could play Metallica solos with the least amount of fuckups. These two paths would eventually slowly slide together, at the end colliding, causing the big bang of Koi. Through various of school projects along first came Joni and then Roberd, and Koi took form.
