KOROVA picture
Korova is the same band as Korovakill and released two albums under this first name.

Korova was founded in 1990 by mastermind Christof Niederwieser and two punks. In the beginning they play a peculiar kind of thrash punk. At their first concert in November 1991 they nearly got beaten off the stage, because they cannot play their instruments at all. In December 1993 Moritz Neuner (later known for his work with bands like Leave's Eyes, Atrocity, Abigor, Dornenreich, Graveworm or Darkwell) joined Korova. Thenceforward their style develops radically.

In Spring 1995 their first album "A Kiss in the Charnel Fields" came out on Napalm Records. It features a nervous mixture of Extreme Black/Death Metal, Prog, Psychedelic, Darkwave, Classical music and Minnesong. The arrangements are opulent, the harmonies often very dissonant.
