Kraken is a Canadian heavy metal act who were originally active from 1980 to 1986. Briefly they were known as Flight of the Kraken, but shortened the name when they moved from covers and started to write original material. They released a sole studio album, self-titled, in 1983.
Twenty years after their split Kraken reunited, in 2006.
