Kurushimi is an Australian avant-garde metal / avant-garde jazz band from Sydney in New South Wales.
Kurushimi uses free jazz, experimental grindcore, doom, prog, hip-hop, dub and noise rock in its music. Bassist Andrew Mortensen describes the band's sound as, "free grind", while it's also been described as doom-jazz.
