Liar is a straight-edge H8000 metalcore / death metal band from West Flanders in Belgium, formed in 1995.
While grounded in metallic hardcore, Liar also incorporated black, thrash and death metal influences, with 2005's album, Murder Manifesto, being more of a death metal than metalcore album.
In 2006 the band announced that they were winding the band up, although they later in 2008 announced a comback.
