Lifeforce is a Brazilian progressive metal band formed in 2003, and started as a cover band playing songs of Dio, Accept, Kiss, Judas Priest, Blind Guardian, Rush, Iron Maiden, Helloween and others. After some months of work, the guitarist Alexandre Lopes and the drummer Eric Carvalho decided that Lifeforce would be a band with its own music, so they used songs that they wrote in their previous bands, Arena and Deadly Sins. The band recorded the first album with Roberto Cassani as singer and Rafael Almeida at the bass that also was a member of Arena and Deadly Sins. The First album had a good repercussion into the local underground scene and in specialized magazines as Road Crew, Rock Brigade, Dynamo and many others in USA, Europe and Japan.
