Lionheart were formed in November 1980 as the first - maybe the only - NWOBHM supergroup. Formed originally by ex Iron Maiden man Dennis Stratton, former Def Leppard drummer Frank Noon, ex Wildfire bassist Rocky Newton, Liar guitarist Steve Mann, and Tygers of Pan Tang vocalist, Jess Cox, expectations were high from the very beginning, but the group finally split up in 1986 with just one single and one album under their collective belts.
