Lord Foul is a black metal project by Roach ( James L. Brown) from Louisville, Kentucky formed in 1993.
Formed under the name Rectal Christ with Brent from "Spiral Demise Zine", this band was a supposed "joke project" by Roach, the guitarist/vocalist for the old underground grindcore band, Son of Dog. He later stated that with the change of the name, he wanted to do serious black metal.
In the credits for "Killing Raping Burning" a guy named Mike was listed, though he does not exist. Roach simply wanted to create the image of a "real band", yet he recorded every instrument. Lord Foul’s output was restricted to two demos released in 1993 and 1994, and a compilation album released in 2009.
