LOREWEAVER is a progressive metal band from Alessandria, Piedmont, Italy. Loreweaver was formed back in 2008, when Barbara Rubin (vocals) hooked up with a band at that time consisting of Francesco Salvadeo (guitars), Giordano Mattiuzzo (bass), Lorenzo Marcenaro (keyboards) and Andrea Mazza (drums). This new unit opted to chose Loreweaver as their new moniker, and progressive metal to be their style of choice.
They recorded their debut album Imperviae Auditiones soon after, which was initially self-released in 2009. Drummer Mazza left the band shortly after, and was replaced by Claudio Cavalli (drums). Since then the band has ben picked up by Italian label SG Records, who officially released their album in the summer of 2011.
