MACRODEX was a Swedish death metal act from Eskilstuna formed in 1987 under the CRUELTY monicker (changing to MACRODEX in 1989), originally playing thrash metal. They however became a part of the early Swedish death metal scene and ended up playing death metal. Although they were a relatively shortlived act disbanding in 1990, they are often cited as one of the seminal local Swedish death metal acts.
