Maiden uniteD is a Dutch act that performs acoustic rearrangements of Iron Maiden songs. The project came to be when Iron Maiden's Dutch fan club asked musician Joey Bruers to do a special show for it's 2006 convention. Knowing it had to be something beyond the usual tribute or cover artists the decision was made to translate the heavy metal classics to the acoustic. Steve Harris, founder and bassist of Iron Maiden has allegedly given Maiden uniteD his blessing.
Maiden uniteD features members from various metal band's in it's line-up such as Damian Wilson (Threshold, Headspace), Ruud Jolie (Within Temptation, For All We Know) and Mike Coolen (Within Temptation). Others have guested with the project including Anneke van Giersbergen (ex-The Gathering).
Aside from live appearances Maiden uniteD has recorded and released two studio albums; Mind the Acoustic Pieces (2010), which is a reinterpretation of Iron Maiden's Piece of Mind (1983), and Across
